"Watercolor Dreams" kept me from doing anything but reading! I cursed every time I got a phone call during the reading of this book! Besides masterfully painting the pictures of the characters and their personalities with his words, R.G. Ryan approached a subject that goes largely unmentioned yet is a growing worldwide and local nightmare and that is the plight of children with sexual crimes foisted upon them. I would like to thank you, Mr. Ryan for bravely dealing with this very real subject that is far too close to my heart. You did it gently and without judgment. I will be recommending this novel to anyone who enjoys a great story and top notch writing!Product details

R.G. Ryan has a way with words. You can see that he's a great observer of human nature and incorporates this gift into describing his characters. It was action packed and engrossing while dealing with a huge issue in today's world. I recommend it highly!
Because I've read Mr. Ryan's other books, I knew this would be good. What I didn't know was that it would make me laugh, cry and touch me. He not only drafted a real "page turner" he broached a tough subject - sex traffic. The book has something for everyone. I guess if I could use one word to describe it would be "wow!" Julie Rhea
On the first page, I was pulled into the beautifully broken world of Jake Moriarity. R.G. poetically weaves mystery, action, romance, and spirituality into this riveting novel in such a way that you too may find it near impossible to pause your reading time for anything other than a bathroom break. 😝
I loved this book. I hated to put it down. My friend wrote this book and I am so proud of this work. Waiting for the next book.
I enjoyed the book. I enjoyed the humor in the way the author described how Jake Mariarity was beating the pulp out of the bad guys. It made me laugh. One thing that did not seem right to me was the 6 year old child that they were carrying around. I would think she should be walking at the age of 6. I do look forward to the next Jake Mariarity Novel book.
This was a good way to start a series. The story was compelling and there is a mysterious background to the main character that I found intriguing. I hope that later stories fleshout his past.
I would love to talk and rave about R.G. Ryan but I'd much rather tell you about Jake Moriarity, my new hero. Now I have had many heroes in my 51-years of life, you know tough guys like Rambo, Dirty Harry and Batman. Jake Moriarity is all of that rolled into one but with a soft place in his heart for the heartbroken and the downcast. As I read this book I really liked this guy and by the end of this book I was a total fan. Watercolor Dreams is a book that you simply will not be able to put down. All of the characters are full of life and intriguing. R.G. Ryan does a masterful job making this story feel like your lived it and his characters are so real you will feel like you know them. I highly recommend it - you will not be disappointed.
