Five years after the previous book (Moon Over Maalaea Bay) ended, Katie Brandt, Lee and Jennifer's adopted daughter finds an email. A gunman is going to start shooting at the Seattle Center! Jennifer is there with their twins, Grady and Grace along with thousands of other children. Can Katie get there in time to stop in? What and who will it involve? Katie survived being shot at by an AK47 five years ago whilst under water, just coming away with bruises. Josh, her dissertation study friend, looks on from the ground after helping Katie onto the roof.

Katie is following in the footsteps of her mom, hacking into terrorist emails etc. She has no intention of letting Peterson (FBI) know everything as she doesn't want to risk being shut down. Turns out the shooter is linked to Boko Haram.

Josh steals Katie's heart when he stands up for her actions. He is the first man, apart from Lee and Granddad to have done that. One problem though.... Josh is not a Christian and thinks Kate's faith is "blind and baseless". Up until this point, Josh has known very little about Katie. When Katie tells him her story it is quite an eye opener. Upon 'interrogation' by the family will Josh "slink away like a lily-livered coward" or pass the test?

Why does Kate want to take a trip across the border to Whistler? Not only that she wants them to act like honeymooners!

This book, number four in the series, has a more spread out storyline than the other books in the series. I also found more spelling errors 'their' which should be 'they're', 'were' which should be 'we're' and 'you're' that should be 'your'. I personally didn't feel that Josh and Katie had the chemistry that Lee and Jennifer had plus some of the dangers that they found themselves in and miraculously escaped from alive seemed a little unbelievable. Despite all the Christian talk about being unequally yoked, Katie still got involved with Josh even if at first it was all supposed to be an act! It was nice to hear how their lives had turned out five years on but I much preferred books two and three. (I have not read book one.)
Unlike the other three prior novels, this particular book focuses attention on Katie, Lee and Jennifer’s adopted daughter who is now in writing her dissertation for her doctoral degree. Katie picks up from where Jennifer left off in one sense with her computer software design. Now Katie begins to discover terrorist attempts on Jennifer’s and the Katie’s young siblings lives. However, that isn’t all she discovers and asks a fellow student to join her after he helps Katie save her family. Now Josh is helping Katie not only with developing software to write his dissertation, but also becomes more embroiled in the danger as Katie forges ahead to uncover the plot to attack America again!
Katie’s faith is firmly cemented yet she still tends to take matters into her own hands, placing her life in danger much to the chagrin of her parents. On top of that, some of the trips to collect data for the college paper are across the border in Canada! Katie begins to uncover a major threat times three with her testing software and trips straight into the lions’ den. Josh is agnostic and fighting to stay there even with Katie sharing logical points to why believing in Jesus makes sense.
I love how the author ends this series with Josh and Katie. It leaves doors open for other novels, but mainly I believe brings the importance of knowing Christ personally and learning about the sex trade to the forefront. Sometimes it seemed the harder Josh pushed or fought against Katie’s apologetic reasoning, the more his life experience showed him the reality of God. All four books were captivating and they captured my heart and mind, especially in regard to those sold into the sex trade organization.
I’m glad I was given this special opportunity by the author to read, review and give away a copy of the series for another reader to enjoy! Personally, I cannot wait to see what H. L. Wegley offers his followers in the years to come! Thank you Mr. Wegley! You’re an amazing author and man! God Bless!

This political thriller was another great book by this author. I really like the Christian influence in this story, as well as his other books. The events are timely and believable.
I love this book! It's full of excitement, suspense, romance and the opportunity to rejoice with the Angels when our hero receives God's gift of salvation. It's all done so naturally, and I love all of the cyber talk, too. =) I didn't understand a word of it, but it was done in such a non-condescending way, it fit the story beautifully. I have to wonder why some Hollywood or television producer hasn't snatched it up. . . . oh right, Mr. Wesley gives all the glory to God for the happy ending.
